    Triumph textile jacket, XL

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Triumph textile jacket with liner, Size XL. Excellent condition: Little evidence of wear or fading (my wife has proclaimed it "like new"). It was purchased "early in this century" by friend who was grounded by...

Tiger 19" front wheel to 09 Bonnie?

Could I get a little help from one of you experienced Triumph Wizards? I want a 19" front wheel for my 09 Bonnie Black, and prefer not to have to totally convert from cast to spoke wheels. Found a 2006 Triumph Tiger 955 i Front Wheel Rim (Michelin 110/80-R19 Tire) which looks like it would be...

How old and how many years have you been riding?

How Old? I'm 69-- which means I may have posted a response to this thread earlier (when I was a little younger)... Bought my first new motorcycle in 1967, and have probably owned two dozen of assorted flavors since then. Currently have the 2009 Bonnie and a 1983 BMW R65. Commute a couple of...

Anybody buy a new bonny lately?

Really enjoying the '09 Bonneville I bought new, last fall: For me, it's the perfect bike, just as it is (now that I've added a small windshield, BillyBars, handlebar risers, mirror extensions, luggage rack, mini-tach inD9 bracket, adjustable rider pegs, and an aftermarket T100 seat)...

    Tach or No Tach?

I'm also not a hard-riding high-revver-- but I added a mini-tach in a D9 bracket, and haven't regretted it... As someone mentioned, I even like to know how it's idling-- and once in a while I'm in a situation which does call for more RPMs. ymmv.

Best Seat for a Bigger Rider

...for this old rider, at least! Recently acquired a slightly used "Cafe-style" seat by Sixty-8 for my new '09 Bonnie. Stock seat was a little hard, and I was restricted to sitting on the front part of the seat, or to sitting on the hard ridge (and strap) where the seat transitions to the...

    Horn Relocation...

Just replaced the stock horn with the 123dB Stebel from newbonneville.com (shown in SweatMachine's post)... My next step is to reinstall the stock VW bug-sounding horn, plus a relay, to give the two-tone honk. As for volume, the replacement is more piercing than stock (so it might be more...

    need more power

Let's grade the Bonnie on durability... Which is why I switched from another European make that was tough and well-engineered, but required constant wrenching to stay on the road. I would bet on the Bonneville over most comparable-displacement bikes in an endurance race.

    Hi from TX!

My last Triumph was British racing green. Gorgeous-- but it was a Spitfire. Current 09 Bonnie is my first British motorcycle, though I've owned most of the rest... Welcome to the forum, and to Texas! By the way, Two Wheeled Texans are doing a monthly "Pie Run" to Elgin, this Saturday-- right in...

    New bonnie tire pressure?

I've always done the weekly pressure checks, on every motorcycle I've owned, but have a hard time doing it (bad back and knees)-- so I'm really excited about the "Tire Pressure Monitor Caps" (pressure-specific valve caps that alert you if you have a pressure drop): I've installed a pair on my...

Replace both-- and if you find out who did it, that's where you can stash the old tube!

    How fast will it go?

You might read the review of the Bonneville SE (by Bill Stermer, I think) in a recent Rider Magazine... It helped determine my choice of a new Bonneville. Author has pretty high praise for the bike-- but with the disclaimer that if you want to burn rubber and pop wheelies, it's not the right...
