I like the steering damper kit real old school. How would it stack up against one of the side mounted oil dampened kits like the one Norman Hyde sells?

Looks like Flanders cafe narrow center to me 32" width 2.5" rise and 5" pullback.

I have Flanders low cafe bars which I cut them down to 29 inches. I like the riding position 32 inches was just a little too wide for my reach.

You might be over tightening the clamps. Mine will slip off if I do that just a snug fit on the clamp is all it takes.

Those are the 40l size. NewBonneville has the 30l but Brit can probably get the larger cases. I bought the mounts from NewBonneville and I asked about fitting issues and was told they haven't had any problems with any of the after market exhaust they sell. The side cases can hold my full face...
