    Almost Killed

Sal, glad you're alright man. I've had a similar incident where someone else's negligence almost cost me my life. Even thought I've had 100 great rides (or more) to each scary incident it makes you question why you're out there on a bike. To think that you'll never see your wife, kids...

    Procom Igniter

Ryder, My stock igniter has a Serial # on it and a different sticker with a Part # that matches one of the part #'s listed on Procom's website. My part # is: T1292370 and it's a 2007 model. Maybe this will help.

    Procom Igniter

I just ordered one yesterday. My stock igniter started cutting out on one cylinder a couple weeks ago. Damn English electronics. The silver lining is that I'll get to play with advanced timings and such.

    Odometer 'scale' question

Yeah, I understand the odometer is in error. What I was suggesting is that the stock speedometer and the GPS should NOT read the same. That raises a red flag in my opinion. In conjunction with the odometer being off, the problem may not be a unit (km/mi) issue. However, the (possible) 9%...

    Odometer 'scale' question

Hmmmm. I don't have a GPS on my bike but I've always read that the Triumph speedometers read roughly 9% high, like Frank suggested above. If your speedo and your GPS "match" then that would be unusual. So maybe your speedo is off somehow.

    Fuel capacity and warning light

The tank does not have a flat bottom, it straddles the frame. The tipping trick works and the tank should have a fair amount of unusable fuel trapped on the right hand side of the tank. Assuming your bike is an EFI, I don't know which side the sender is on. The petcock is on the left side for...

    Scrambler and Bonneville

Looks like you picked a good place to let it rest nofate. It looks soft. I do a good bit of riding on dirt roads with a guy on a KLR. He drops the KLR all the time. It seems so top heavy where if it starts to go over there's little you can do to keep it upright. The KLR certainly has a...
