More info about that steering damper please. Where / How ? I have been thinking of installing a steering damper (piston type from Hyde) these are light in the front bikes, but this would negate the need for that??? Please tell more.

Circumstances since I last posted have meant being on the move and unable to load & post pix.
So Marcus, a good Brit mucker and Ace Cafe habitue and I, headed South back to Bangers
stopping in at the local Chang brewery enroute.

Here the bike is set up for touring with the larger rack, which can be turned into a pillion seat with the addition of a pad.
Those eagle eyed spotters will notice the Bonnie headlamp - in SEA more light is a necessity over aesthetics.

On the port side is a 20 litre Touratech ally panier for light necessities on long trips
- inner tubes, pump, patching kit etc.

Not the most elegant solution, I know, but providing you keep the gear light it doesn't upset the balance.
Also lockable, tho not entirely theft proof, it does deter the light fingered opportunist and useful whilst on long tours.
Both box and mounting frame can be removed in minutes for normal use.

Get in touch with Peter at Farley & Ace on
Farley & Ace Damper

Their system is old school and visually less obtrusive than the Hyde,
even if it does not work quite as well - it does work.
I had been advised by Peter to get the longer extension option,
but this is still not high enough for the Scrambler set up.
So I had a longer one fabbed up along with a new rod.
[I will measure the specs of these when I'm back in BKK]
Also, added a locking nut to stop local fingers playing with it

Note if you are running a tach on the Scram with this damper you will need to relocate it.
Here's my solution
Scram-Instrument-Housing-2-LR-M.jpg

I've also added a fork brace which makes a noticeable difference,
especially as the higher ally front fender tends to make the front end a little lite
when approaching the ton.
The oscillating weave which I was experiencing around 85mph before,
appears to have disappeared with these new mods.

B06Tang I think we need some better angles of that dragon...more pics please! .

Sorry distracted by mundane mods ...
here's another view of The Dragon with the added attraction of the new Karoo tyre pattern airbrush paint job.

Wow Zoe must be a professional model.....beautiful and great camera presence. Bike is looking good too.

Zoe was a real trooper, considering where we are located a number of days were wasted
dealing with scary LB "managers" who were offering the modelling services of the local uni students
who looked like jail-bait and weren't up for the shoot.

Zoe, a friend-of-a-friend, got into the spirit of the shoot
and, I hope you will agree, she looked GREAT!

did dragon girl get lost in the Thai jungle????
No, but the Scram somehow was easily upstaged! :D

At a nearby canyon with the high DMs and Davida helmet, Zoe and the Scram were in their element.

Thanks to Zoe & Marcus who you say earlier riding the bike back to Bangkok,
for their enthusiasm, patience, humour and making the day such a fun shoot.

That all Folks

I hope you will all join in wishing Zoe a speedy recovery after a RTA
with a local pick-up bus that has had her in hospital.
