New for Bonneville - Benjie's Cafe Racer Parts

This is awesome, now I'm definitely doing a Bonnie cafe rather than a CB. Thanks for the update.

    Cambria...Big Sur...Ragged Point CA

It's doable only sticking to Hwy 1 the whole way, a very long day dawn to dusk (225 mi one way, winding, traffic, towns... on paper no problem, but really hard to tell what speed you can actually average the whole way). More comfortable and enjoyable would be to Big Sur area (165 mi one way)...

    Cross Country Ride?

Remember to register for an "Iron Butt" ride if you do this! (Don't know details myself, just heard about it...). 1000+ mi per day for so many days qualifies you. Only few Triumphs (20?) have ever done it (300+). Good luck - of course, post/blog about it - take a digital camera, laptop, and...

    Enfield Bullet

I was thinking of buying one and keeping it at my dad's in WI for when I visit, just to fart around in around town and country roads. Probably the military styled one. Just haven't heard great things about reliability... but now with retooled motors, EFI, 5-speed, hopefully they invested in...

    BonnieBlack in Wisconsin

Welcome, from a displaced Badger, now in Northern California. Have to say, grew up in WI and lived there through university... and don't know where Fountain City is! (Will google it). I'm from Wausau area, originally. A Bonnie black or Thrux is my next bike... Ride On!

    welcome

A Triumph twin is a great first, and last, bike to buy. Find a dealer who gives test rides and try them all. America/Speedmaster for "cruising" sitting, Bonneville for more forward and Thruxton for most aggressive seating. All great, IMHO. WELCOME!

    really?!?

By the way, 6th place is another Triumph 2006 Bonneville mod. http://www.amdchampionship.com/content.php?page=registry&section=viewbike&event=2009world&bikenumber=046

    really?!?

Chain is connected - it runs underneath that extra sprocket and onto the main front sprocket. It's just an "artsy" free style custom bike building competition. Why? Because you get attention and potentially more business... no such thing as bad publicity as they say. Obviously not a...

    Rider Missing in Montana....info

Good reason to buy a GPS tracker (SPOT, etc...) on long trips. I was thinking the other day as I rode through Sierra Mtns passes, alone... if I went over that edge (no guardrail even, 100's to 1000's ft drop), no one would know where the heck I was to even start to look. Hope it turns out OK...

    Triumphs in Movies/TV Shows - Scene/Pic/Model

Then you have to rent it, play DVD on PC, do a screen capture or video capture (post on YouTube)... just kidding, thanks for trying. This is a great list. My family always hates when I'm watching a movie or show, and then yell "that's a Triumph!". Happens a lot as we can see.

Is Thunderbird a dirty word here??

Plenty of GREAT deals out there on relatively new TBA/Speedmasters due to this economy (crying while selling). I bought my TBA'08 new last year, really wish I had waited - I could have spent 1/2 the money on a bike with 10k or less miles.

    custom aged modern bike

Yeah, I have a project in mind to use a modern Triumph and create a vintage looking military bike - stretched, equal big tires... LC Fab projects are good models for it. Might use their hard tail back-half frame they have for sale to build upon. Bought their wiring for modern Triumph to...

    lovin my new T100!

INK - Nice bike! and welcome, it is addicting (got my America last June) isn't it? All I can think about is the next bike to get, and the next project bike... oh, I'm a "bike" person, too - pedal or engine power, 2-wheels is the best!
