    M Bar Woes...

I have M bars that i have turned upside down for a super aggressive position. I installed LSL rearsets and that drastically improved the comfort and gave the bike an overall more aggressive feel. I would recommend that if you don't mind spending the money.

    All weather/ outdoor cover

Anyone know of a good all weather/ outdoor cover? The only one that i have seen is the one that Triumph sells and its $145.00 not including tax or shipping. Is that my best bet or does anyone have experience with something else? Thanks,

    Thoughts on rearsets

I'm on 5'8 and have the LSL rearsets. I also have M bars turned upside down. The rearsets really improved the comfort of the riding position. I put the rearsets on myself, not too difficult if you can turn a wrench.

    How fast will it go?

I have an 03 Bonnie with a bunch of extra's and it tops out around 112. You cant squeeze much more then that out unless you open the motor, but then you lose reliabilility.

1/4 turn throttle for 1" bars

They make these for many of the sport bikes. Doesnt have to be so drastic that it makes the bike difficlut to ride, but if i could go to a 1/3 turn throttle or similar it would deliver the power much quicker.

1/4 turn throttle for 1" bars

I wasnt aware that the Bonnie had a 1/4 turn throttle. If that is the case I would want something bigger to make it easier to get the power and stay in the power. Anyone?

    790/865

The 790 does have a different cam. No difference between the two. I have a 790, with tons of upgrades, and it makes more power then almost all the 865. Most people with Bonnie's are addicts and mod everything. Don't rule out the 790" if you can get a good deal on one.

1/4 turn throttle for 1" bars

I have the 1" M bars and am looking for a 1/4 throttle. All the power on these bikes is on the top end and being carburated i think it would be a huge improvement to have 1/4 throttle. Anyone ever do this or know where to find a 1/4? Thanks,

What do YOU guys want if you could have it made?

I think side covers would be huge. Only MAS makes them and they are just ovals. BeachFinn on the Thruxton page made some that look sick.A stone guard that is specifically designed for the bonnie headlight, not a mini stone guard that needs to be fabed to fit.

    Clearing

I am having my sprocket cover etched and we need to remove the clear coat first. Has anyone had to re-clear any aluminum parts, not painted? If so what did you use and how well did it hold up and look?

    Fitting Fork Gaiters

My fork gaiters have dry rot and I bought replacements. Has anyone replaced the gaiters before and what is the easiest way? I know they recommend taking the front forks off, front wheel, caliper, etc... Is there an easier way? Thanks as always

    Building from the Ground Up

You're right, they are not just laying around everywhere, but you can definitely find one if you look. I had my hands on one a few months ago. I bet someone on this forum knows someone that has one that is willing to get rid of it. It wont be cheap either, probably $1000 to $2000 just for the...

    Building from the Ground Up

If you truly want to build a cafe racer from the ground up I would recommend finding a Norton Featherbed frame and starting there as that is the most sought after cafe racer frame and it happens to be badass. You can then use a Triumph running gear or anything else you like.

    Clutch upgrades?

I heard the big negative to stiffer springs is that the clutch will wear out your hand really quickly as it is so stiff. Anyone have any experience with this?

Don't buy an 09. Buy a used one and keep the carbs. Much cooler and very easy to work on. You can do everything yourself.

side cover fit problem after NH rearset install

I have LSL rearsets and the rear brake level was rubbing against the inside of the right side cover. I taked up the side cover and broke out the dremel. Grinded down just a little bit and clearance is not longer an issue. I then took a little bit of automotive paint and touched up where i had...

    ordered Ricors

I have the Ricors in front as well. I did speak with them about rear shocks and they told me they are in development, but have no timelime yet. It will be a while they told me. I asked about pricing and they are not going to be cheap, they are going to be comparable to Ohlins, BiTubo's, etc...
