    Manufacturing changes in oil filters?

    wix user here, 51358 for the short one so flat jack works, 51356 is longer, no issues @ $7. just ordered some mahle filters OC575, read lots of good about them, $6 ea + $5 handling @ jegs, ordered 5 still $5 handling

    pretech caliper is excellent, a direct mount unit with no adapter needed. a new brake line was needed on my 2012 mag wheeled bonnie due to the how the fitting mounts to the caliper. got mine from TTP in the UK, looks like this[/URL][/IMG]

    lacing bigger rims with new spokes is the least expensive, prolly still over $500 for parts alone, aluminum rims will help handling, your choice of colors as well xtra $$

    pretech makes a great 4 piston unit that works with stock master, a finger or two is all you need. its a direct bolt on but a different brakeline is necessary. stock disc is fine but i upgraded mine to EBC floater[/URL][/IMG]

    the harley is more of a cruiser, 48 is so lo it drags easily, the short suspension will ride poorly and its brakes are weak! my magged bonnie rides and handles well with good brakes, rear shock needed an upgrade!

    had a 70 T120R purchased while in the military under $1000 new stationed in morocco, enjoyed the bike for sure made E-5 shipped home free had it for about 10 yrs then sold it, never lost the fever so bought a 2012 bonnie though much smoothe,r the very light 70 was toy to throw around

    alternator charging

    thanks, for sure the EFI has higher requirements at any RPM, glad to see triumph was on that one as harley sportsters only had a higher output alternator when they went EFI but still nill at lo RPM

    remember reading for sake of conformity, prolly $$$ triumph used the bigger tanks on last year of carbs, as USA got EFI later i believe

    zrx shocks

    got a set of bitubo WME's $450 at Herdan.com, these are a DeCarbon shock with internal reservoir, high quality construction and inverted as they should be, only rode about 100 miles before old man winter arrived very pleased!! totally removed that jarring on bigger bumps, at 175 lb most shocks...

    alternator charging

    looking at several post about battery issues etc, does anyone know what amps the alternator outputs at? my 06 sportster was said to need 50 mph to get real charging as lo rpm does little, the buell had i believe a 3 phase alternator that charged at lo as well as hi rpm
