New, stricter MC regulations on the horizon for Europe

The EU commision has for some years been working on a new directive recarding motorcycles - making life harder for us european riders. A good thing that I've been a member of the Norwegian MC Union, which in turn is a member of Fema, both does a good job @ lobbying towards the most imposing...

    Hit with the ugly stick...

Not exactly the best starting point for a cafe/roadster :p - but would it be possible to make this contraption look halfway decent without sinking too much money into it...? Havent seen many XJ based builds - would be fun (and hard) doing something a bit off the beaten path. For a start...

Riding in Spain - 5 days of pure bliss

Well, last week I attended a riding course in Spain. Held by norwegian MSF teachers to kickstart the riding season after a long cold winter. Held in the Costa Blanca area on the east coast, known for its mild climate, temps went from 40F in the mornings to 70F during the day. Riding...

Gima 125 - french retro lightweight

This bike does have the correct retro look, plunger rear suspension et al: Sells for €4K in France , not bad for an essentially handbuilt bike. Based on a 1948 design. Would be nice to putt around town on - and mileage should be good too. Should get around twice as long on a gallon as...

bike misfires @ lower throttle after ARK

Installed the TPUSA powerpack with pipes+ARK. Bike didn't run properly at lower throttle openings afterwards, which I attributed to being lean in the low 40 temps. Rejetted carbs to 145's and put in the NB mixture screws. Already had 42 pilots in it. Yesterday I put in thrux needles , no...

replacing broken spokes - any tips?

Was at the shop to pick up my rear wheel - hopefully with new inner tube + 2 new spokes. My buddy said that in order to replace those 2 spokes, many other spokes would have to be loosened - and it would be a time consuming affair and costly for me having them do it. (Besides, their schedule...
