Thruxton headlight brackets on Bonnie..?

Going to install the intiminators now and figured it would be a good time to swap out the headlight brackets from stock to the Thrux brackets I've had layin around for 2 years.
Now, the tubes on the thrux brackets are shorter to give room for the clip-ons, anyone have any tips on what to use for spacers?

you could have a machinist turn some sleeves for you, then paint or powdercoat to match.

As a "bodge" short term fix how about using a hose clamp? (also known as "jubilee clamps"here in the UK) fitted either above or below Thruxton bracket.
You can get some nice stainless steel ones if you look around.
Just a thought.....
Anyone else got any quick easy fixes?

could use 2 split shaft collars in ss or alum they would look ok if you put the screws to the inside or turn and bore some spacers on a lathe.If it wont so far to ship them I would make you some.
