    RAM Mounts

Seeing as how motorcycle GPS units refuse to budge in price, I was looking for a viable mounting solution for my existing Garmin Nuvi 250 to my Bonneville. http://www.ram-mount.com/products/motorcycles.htm Used the search wizard here and they seem to have just the ticket. Has anyone used...

    strange startup behaviour

hmm, the voltage thing seems to make sense. im thrown off by the fact that it was idling just fine while i geared up. and then when i was trying to start it again i tried both with and without choke. the problem hasn't repeated itself so i'll let it be. but i will take everyone's advice and let...

    strange startup behaviour

so i am new, and i have a 2009 bonnie black. no hiccups till this morning when it did something kinda weird. perhaps one of you more mechanically inclined gents may have an explanation. so it was about 6-7 degrees celsius when i went out. turned the ignition, heard the usual efi whirring...

    Enfield Bullet

Bang on! I have done a lot of driving/riding in the Indian subcontinent. You could even tour India on a 250cc. The roads and traffic are prohibitive to any amount of sustained speed.

    Why?

Those were some great replies. Perhaps I would think differently if I had a couple grand burning a hole in my pocket. Took a lot of saving to pay for the bike itself. Or maybe performance upgrades are just not for the pragmatic.

    Why?

Why are most motorcyclists these days so obsessed with aftermarket exhaust systems? This is not just a Triumph forum thing, my last bike was an SV650 and every other post on the SV forums was about exhaust. I could see the point if these full systems were a reasonably priced mod, but we all know...

@motley: yes i did buy the bike from inglis. i think they are the only triumph dealer in town here. certainly the only guzzi dealer that i know of. i like that place, ive always had positive experiences when dealing with them. i think i'm more of a solo rider. tried riding with groups before...

went to buy a guzzi v7 classic..

thanks for the welcoming words guys. im sure i will be spending a fair amount of time on here seeing as i can't ride for another 3 months at least. nothing worse than having a new toy and not being able to play with it. it burns.

went to buy a guzzi v7 classic..

slightly more power in the bonnie for one, although i was not too worried about it, im sure the guzzi would have had enough horses for me. the main thing was that the dealer here thinks that they might be losing their guzzi dealership because of piaggio canada pulling out or something. it is the...
