sweet tex! looks good.

on my "our lady of speed" tattoo, i got it when i was home on the east coasr for xmas, and the tat artisit is a good freind of mine, well i learned the hard way that, that tattoo shoulda been a 2 session but since i was only home for a week i had to tough it out.

on a side note, all my tattoos itch out here in AZ, i think its the dry-ness. i used to put poation on but now its like a daily thing for me

good luck mr baddabing. i wish yout the best of luck.

awesome tattoo, how did the gettin the ribs done feel? i want a ridecage tat but hear its tough

Thanks for the wishes.

The ribs were a bitch. Hurt like nothing else I have felt. I think the worst part was the vibrations all through my ribcage. I want to do the other side but have to wait until the memory of the last side fades a bit more.

Here is my tattoo, about 75% done. There is still shading to do on the gears, a valve spring, pushrods, crank nose, etc. Jamie at Suffer City is doing the art.

That does look good. OregonThrux has a whole damn Triumph cutaway motor stamped on his scrawny bod. Very detailed, like yours. I like it.

@jphickory
That may be true but I'm already 39 and the 2 tattoos I have are a portrait of my younger brother that died at 20 and one thing I will never get tired of, Triumph motorcycles.

I don't have a tattoo. I get bored of seeing the same picture on a wall after awhile. I know I would eventually tire of a tattoo in the same way. As you age your passion, interest and perspective for certain things are bound to change... but the tattoo will not.

Bdavanza - sorry to hear about the loss of your brother; that particular situation is an exception to everything I'm saying. I just think taking a long perspective is wise when considering anything you choose to live with permanently.

I understand where you guys are coming from and that may be true for most but some of the work Ive seen in this thread and the work I have and am currently having worked on means something to me. Id dare say the same goes for a lot of the posts you've seen in this thread.

My buddy got a bunch of shit tatts when he was in the military. He regrets those. Im sure it didn't help that he got them all between the ages of 18 and 21.

My first (15 years old now) means something to me. It was a time in my life that was rough and it was a time of change. Every day I see it and every day it reminds me of how things could have gone and how bad that would have been.

My current piece is in progress and takes me back to childhood but with a new twist.

With that said, to each their own and thats why I have tats and may get more AND why I really enjoy lighting up a good stogie... cause I like it!

And here my current piece...
Its based on this (Croatian Coat of Arms - this was never an official coat of arms. It was an artistic piece and has a personal story behind it for me).

Heres what it looks like after the first sitting. I let the artist have some freedom with it. She is really talented.
