Sidestand&Neutral switch

OK...I get it but I'm not explaining correctly. Anyway, stand up, clutch in, in gear I get nothing unless i pop it up to neutral. I'll have to check out the stand switch first..seems to be the likely suspect.

I always thought that was an odd feature but I figured it was just a Triumph thing since this is my first owned.

If I understand correctly the way the system works it can't be the side stand switch in that case because if it was the engine would die as soon as you put it into gear regardless of whether the side stand was up or down???

The neutral switch appears to be working because it won't start in gear but will in neutral so that just leaves the clutch switch as being the problem???

well...I did brake off my clutch lever at one point..I'll look there first.
