IMO, hard luggage looks shit on our bikes. Have you considered throwovers? No brackets to spoil the lines and a decent amount of storage. I picked up a secondhand set of Ortleibs from fleabay for about $130. Look like new. The blurb says they are waterproof but a Thai monsoon managed to find a way in. Big enough for a few days worth of clothes, a pair of trainers, a toilet bag and a set of waterproofs.

Here's a pic of them on my Bonnie

Cheers,

I have these exact bags.
I keep one filled with essentials like rain gear, sun glasses, rags, side stand puck, etc...
The other side is empty and used for daily things I need to haul around.
I have driven in the rain and everything was fine.
I like the quick release cover clips instead of undoing the faux-buckle.
They also have velcro front and back on the inside of the cover which has saved me losing stuff when I forget to close the clips :)

I totally agree with Pikey. Tail packs and soft bags are the thing for the Bonnie.

I bought the Kriega US20 modular tail pack this season, and it's been the absolute bomb. Yes, it's kind of expensive, but I've rarely regretted spending a little more for the good stuff. I'm planning on expanding with a 10-litre pack net year.

I'm betting their soft panniers are every bit as good as the tail packs. Take a look... Kriega on Revzilla

Anyone owned/used these bags have any opinions (beside that they're Fucking expensive)? Quality? Looks? Comparison to alternatives?

It's very difficult in my my opinion to find bags that look OK on the Bonnie.

You don't want triumph bags...the leather is crap:

Get some quality textile ones...they fit the bike better and, with the covers fitted, will actually keep out the weather.
