K Y B shocks

Found this post on the ZRX forum to get a little more sag on the stock shocks (for free). Supposedly doing this mod gets you another 1/2" of sag.

I also found a cheap source for springs. Their calculator says I need .90 kg/mm which are only $80 for the pair.

Wow that is some Great Info... Looks like I'm going to have to break out the grinder to mine, as I checked my sag about a month ago, and I'm too much up front, and not enough out back...

Did the mod tonight. It definitely loosens the springs up. It feels much better now. Word of warning though. The part that you are grinding on is also a spacer that keeps the spring from moving around on the shock body. I had to take the spring off and ping the spacer down in a vice to keep it up on the shock body. Once you grind that stopper off it will want to fall down towards the bottom of the assembly. I didn't take pictures but you'll know what I'm talking about when you get it apart.

Since I don't have my bike in front of me I'm not picturing this, what would happen if you didn't pinch it?

The spacer part will slide down the shock body. It needs to stay at the top. The spacer is already pinched from the factory I just had to pinch it more so it fit snugly to the shock body.
