My guess would be for the optional auxiliary power outlet that is available through Triumph.

yeah...I found another of the large connectors further back in the harness. Looks like they were spliced in. It's a carbed bike. Got the jets in...real easy and no problem with the screws. replaced with the allen bolts. There are 4 shorter allen bolts in the carb kit...not sure where they go?? Maybe I should put some silicone in the plugs??

I would leave it the way you found it. Could be for grip warmers? or accessories?
2007. I'm just finishing my install this morning. I have a lot of wire mess to clean up. I'll just wire tie these. Kind of a bear installing the side cover bracket on battery box for a scram. Would have been nice for some directions with the kit. I'll add some insight to the Scrambler air box thread when I'm done

RR99 is right, grip warmers and acc, violet wire from main power is constant live.
