>>This is a big part of the problem - somewhere, for some reason, assholes are out there putting corn syrup in all our food.<<

Everything has high fructose corn syrup in it now as well as loads of chemicals made from corn and soy. Even if you eat meat, you are eating corn.

If you haven't already seen it, watch this movie:

Food, Inc.

Its actually a good family movie event.

Or read the books:

Fast Food Nation and Omnivore's Dilemma

what a load of socialist crap!

It's amazing what a bunch of fat ass (me included) motorcycle riders can find to argue about...huh??

I wasn't the one to bring politics into a thread encouraging people to eat in a healthy way. I just sarcastically ran with "drlapo's" paranoia.

+1 on Eric Schlosser's "Fast Food Nation". (absolutely nothing to do with the fictional movie other than the title). I'm in the fast food business and when interviewing prospective managers new to the industry, I'd tell them to read that first.

I wasn't aware of the movie you link and will definitely check that out. In fact, it's on my Netflix "instant view" que. Be a good hotel night viewing.

We use Conagra Beef among other vendors. You don't want to know how quickly they bring beef to the market today vs 10 years ago.........

Eat safe!

A buddy of mine from the DUCATI.MS to me to take my current Vanson Leathers back to Vanson and have them make me three track suits:lol2::lol2:

All kidding a side I cannot believe the amount of support. Thank you.

What is really going to suck is that I am going to have to re-do my suspension.

Good for you! We've been doing those surgeries at my hospital for over 5 years now and I've seen firsthand the (excuse the pun) huge difference this makes in people's lives.
It's not just cosmetic, although that's important, every organ system in the body will benefit from this. People literally can double their expected lifespan in some cases.

As mentioned before, the surgery is the start, staying on the program and having the support of your peers is the way to the goal.

Good luck and Merry Christmas!

OK Im 5'11'' and 2 yrs ago I was around 250 and felt like crap but I didnt try to diet I just quit a job that had me traveling a lot and eating garbage like jack n the box, wendys all fast food. I changed to a home every night job and didnt touch fast food except for taco bell every now and then and stopped drinking beer and soda and got down to 165 without even noticing. Now Im back to traveling and I still dont eat fast food but maybe once a month and switched to suger free red bull and Im 175 now, still do 50 to 75 push ups a day helps too. Good luck with this surgery man,the guy I talked to says it saved his life.

Nothing can replace diet and exercise. Once you lose the weight you have to keep it off. Just keep that in mind!
