So true, Commando. J.M., has been passionate about getting the music right. I feel sure the Bonnie was of his doing. The chic looks tasty also.

Hey drlapo,

You sound a little edgy. Something got you cranked up? Is it just that you don't like Obama or Johnny M.? Would you rather John McCain?

The next president the U.S. elects needs to be one of the best ever. Who do you feel is up to the challenge? Bombing the middle east into the stone age isn't the answer. I've "heard" that the U.S. buys most of its oil there.

How do you win a military battle when the hundreds of billions you pay them for oil is used to finance your opponents military budget? It's like the U.S. is paying the cost for both sides??

Don't get me wrong,...I'm there with the Good Old U.S.A. We have fought shoulder to shoulder with each other in more than a couple of wars and we will continue. Our continent is called North America. We are all Americans in a way. What happens in the U.S. is important to all of us. We need a winner for the next president. Not another "oil family" who mixes personal finance with politics.

we can address most of our energy problems domesticaly with additonal reasonable drilling and exploraton + nuclear energy and conservation the middle east crisis is not about oil its about protecting our soil from religious nuts who are now too busy protecting their own asses to hit us at home again. do we return to the Clinton era and ask them to please stop hurting us? it was a Democrat who opened the door for 9/11. I am very concerned over what Obama would do to the US economy(free mortgage $ to the "needy") and individual freedoms(2nd amendment) he is a bleeding heart liberal who feels he is better than the averge Joe so we must give him all our money and he will spend it to our (his) benefit, why doesn't the media ask him how a junior senator earned 4.5 Mil $ last year???

another reason

Question 16. Because of the increased politicization of firearms issues and the lack of any meaningful public safety component in many legislative proposals, the membership of the FOP adopted a resolution stating that it would not support additional "gun control" legislation beyond our support for the measures signed into law in 1994. Will your administration seek to push any additional "gun control" measures? If so, what public safety benefit do you expect to achieve and why should the FOP overturn its resolution on this issue?

McCain's response: "I believe the right of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms is a fundamental, individual Constitutional right that must be protected. We have seen the record of gun control, and it is a record of crime fighting failure. Assuming that criminals will abide by gun restrictions is dangerously naive. Gun bans, waiting periods, ammunition bans, registration and licensing of gun owners—each of these has a common theme: they only affect law-abiding citizens. And they have another common theme: they don't work as crime fighting tools..."

Obama's response: He said he wants to reinstate the federal ban on "assault weapons."

Holy crap! That explains some of it. I have noticed as well that our politicians and bureaucrats are looking more like thugs and con men.

In Canada, about 10 years ago they legislated gun control on long guns. Total waste of money. So far it has exceeded 3 billion dollars and just keeps eating up tax dollars. Did nothing to curb gun violence, just made criminals out of many current long gun owners, especially farmers and folks in remote areas, who refuse to register their long guns.

Can you believe that,...They actually legislated innocent people into being criminals for being in possession of a long gun that was perfectly legal days before. THEN they said there would be a period of amnesty for these long gun owners to then register their long guns. Most have not. The amnesty period has long since expired.

So I guess the end result didn't get any thugs or gang bangers off the street, it in fact created many new criminals out of innocent rifle and shot gun owners. How's that for irony??
