    Dear NBR

I sold all my bikes except the Bonnie last year when I decided my midlife crisis needed a Ducati. The wife would likely tell you it's because I have to many triumph shirts to ever sell it, but its actually the perfect counterpoint for the Ducati, which is ridiculously fast but fierce as hell and...

Front end wobble when turning right

Well...maybe I should just push harder then... It's not really a big deal, but I have stock suspension and figured I want to get it as close to correct as possible. Having said that I think I'll be looking into the forks and axle next week, once i find the correct torque values.

Front end wobble when turning right

Thanks for all the info! I'm at home with a sick child today so maybe I can have a look when he gets a nap. Does anyone know the torque values offhand? I think that's gonna do the trick. I'm pretty sure there's no faults with the tire or mounting and it doesn't appear to be a balance thing...

Front end wobble when turning right

Ok, heres a question for all of you knowledgable types, I have a 2007 T100 that has always had a front end wobble. It has about 6500 miles now and the last few rides I've been trying to pay more attention to where its' coming from. It seems that its most noticeable between 35-45 mph and when...

    Help...out of storage

I need advice from my esteemed fellow riders. I was supposed to take a 3 day 1500 mile car trip to go look at property Saturday, and a friend was gonna go with me and we were to take his car. Well he had to cancel due to work. No, I'm not gonna ride the Bonnie, it's supposed to be rainy and in...

    Barn Find!!! Need advice

My father-in-law just married a woman who has a 1978 Honda CB 750 in her basement. And yes, before you yell at me I've spent 15 minutes trying to get a photo on here but they're too large. Anyway, it is all original except aftermarket exhaust. Has rust on the fenders and bars, but the paint...

    Disappointed with Renntec

Yea, I plan to, it's just that I don't have one, so I have to find one I can borrow. Plus the paint is coming off the cross-bar again, before install. It's just shit you shouldn't have to put up with when you pay $220 for a part then wait over a month for it, ya know? Certainly not the end of...

    Disappointed with Renntec

Well, finally got the new bars, and once again the cross bar bolt holes are gunked up so the bolts won't go in!!!! WTF? I'm over Renntec.

    People from Florida

As a Florida native, I've been here about 40 years total. Like anything else, there's good and bad. I'm in the Orlando area, and as Koi put it, Orlando is a zoo. Pretty much a shooting or murder daily, population over a million, and I want out. But then winter hits and hmmm maybe it's not so bad...

    Disappointed with Renntec

Update, I sent the offending part back and marked the defective areas. It was received yesterday, and I got a e-mail from Brent today telling me that he agreed with my problems with the quality of the piece. Unfortunately, he has no more of them to replace it with. He said that they are on the...

Is Bonneville 2006 ready for E10 gas?

I've had my carbys taken off and cleaned twice from what I suspect is ethanol problems. Now I use Sta Bil Marine (blue stuff) with each fill-up. No more problems since.

    Disappointed with Renntec

Well, Brent was quick to e-mail me back, and said to send it back for replacement. Good to know there's still some customer service around. Still a little skeptical about the quality of the replacement I'll get but we'll see. Anyone else with Renntec able to chime in?

    Disappointed with Renntec

Has anyone else had a problem with Renntec items? First off, let me state that I purchased a set of engine guard bars from Newbonneville.com and I am not bashing the company or service. I have just written them and hopefully all will be made right. I saw several people on here who have these...

    Squeak when backing up

Mine has always done that when pushing her backwards, and a little bit when pushing forwards. Definately coming from the front disc. No harm done.

What do YOU guys want if you could have it made?

I want the old-style headlight shell, like the old Thuderbird, with speedo mounted in the top!!!! If it's designed to flow with the lines of the bike, it would be just beautiful!

    Protecting the Shiny Bits

Ok, I'd still like to hear from anyone who's been down or had a tip-over with any of the commercially available products. How did they work? To me the Renntec look like the strongest and best bet, but I'm wondering if they are too low, and may cause the bike to lever over onto the tank. Anyone????

Difference between 360 and 270 degrees firing intervals

The cruisers (speedmaster and america) also use the 270 crank. It is supposed to produce more torque at lower revs as opposed to making higher RPM horsepower. Everthing of course is a compromise, but the reasoning was that the lower RPM torque would be more usable power off-road.

Yea, in my circle of friends years ago, that green bug was kindof an inside joke. We used to call it the fastest VW around!

Why do motor officers not ride ATGATT?

"kind of funny to see former SWAT guys in short sleeve poly shirts and half helmets knowing full well they wouldn't have gone through a door with out ATGATT when they were on the Team !!?? " YES, that's exactly what I'm talking about...don't we always train and plan and dress for worst case...

Why do motor officers not ride ATGATT?

Thanks for the input. I do understand the uniform presence thing. We're the last agency in my area that's still wearing dark blues in summer when everyone else is sporting shorts and nikes. Doesn't look as professional, but sure does look damn comfortable! And yes, all the motors guys around...
