Would it be a bad idea to paint the white seam around the top of the new Bonneville seat? I like the look of the old seats, and I noticed that the Triumph logo is painted on too. I'd like to have an off-white seam like the one in this W650. Thanks

I just got my bonneville the other day and when I took the seat off to get the owners manual one side had a stepped sleeve, the other didn't. How would I get a replacement? It still holds the seat tight with just the bolt, but I haven't been on a long ride, so I may need it in the future.
