New rear suspension for a lower Bonnie

I quite like that screen. How easy is it to detach? Can you add it easily for a day's ride then remove it at the end of the day?

New rear suspension for a lower Bonnie

Slick - when I say 'take it back', I mean I got a store credit! So now I have to work out what to spend it on. They have a really nice womens fit thunderbird leather jacket or a nice Shoei helmet or maybe a deposit on a little 250 as my run-about bike for round town ... I don't like the wind...

New rear suspension for a lower Bonnie

Thanks everyone. Sounds like I should swap out the front springs too then. I'll probably get my dealer to do the job but thanks for the offer of advice on how to do it. Just lowering the back has made less of a lean for the bike on the side stand so I don't have as much choice over parking. I...

New rear suspension for a lower Bonnie

Thanks Slick. I'd be very interested in comfort levels post mod. If it works, I might try it too.

That's good to hear, I'll give the front a go too. What springs did you put on?

    New Bonnie owner! - questions...

Hi Mike, I've got a 2010 SE A1. Yes, the stock suspension ain't great. I swapped to Progressive 412s and it's a much nicer ride. I'm thinking about doing the fork springs too. I've noticed popping when rolling off the throttle so might follow your lead and disable the AI too - once I'm out of...

New rear suspension for a lower Bonnie

Hi, is this for the SE Bonnie or the T100? I've got the SE A1 which is the blacked out engine version of the SE. The seat's pretty thin on mine. Would be great to get half an inch out of it but I think it would be almost on bare metal then.

New rear suspension for a lower Bonnie

No I haven't changed the front springs yet. Does it make a huge difference if I'm not a very aggressive rider? I find cornering at low speeds sometimes great, sometimes not. I'm not sure if it's me or the bike but haven't had the problem before. It seems hard to get the front end to fall into...

New rear suspension for a lower Bonnie

Hi everyone. I've just changed out the rear suspension on my 2010 Bonneville to Progressive 412 shocks from British Customs (thank you Sean). This drops the rear by 3/4". I dropped the front on the forks as well. I'm only just over 5' tall so lowering the bike makes it way easier to handle at...

    Hi from New Zealand

Thanks everyone. I live very central Auckland, in Ponsonby. Your bike looks great, Coop. I'm tossing up between the Ikon or Progressive 412 shocks to drop the back by an inch.

    Hi from New Zealand

Hi, I'm the proud owner of a '10 Bonnie A1 in white. I live in Auckland, New Zealand and am trying to get as much riding as possible in before the winter rains start. The bike and I have travelled over 500km together in our first week of ownership. I really love this bike! I found this...
