O.K. Craig and Adrian...
As promissed...
I just ran next door and borrowed my neighbors camera and took a few quick shots.. Pictures, that is!
Thanks to Seth, w/ his help, I utilized his "Thruxton Track Bracket" for the speedo to get rid of the idiot indicator lights w/ the exception of the oil pressure indicator that I relocated to the fork top bolt. (drilled a 19/32 hole in the bolt, filed the indents, ran the wire up the center fork yoke hole.)
Bingo!
I know if my high beam is on (it's brighter), and when I'm in neutral (let the clutch out and if she moves I'm still in gear!)
I have a automatic turn signal canceller called a "Thumb."
Relocated the rectomfire, (Thanks Sweat!) to the rear BrCu air box tail...
It hits 115 degrees here in Tucson w/ no problems w/ it this summer...
O.K. (So I did a wiring diet too at the same time!)
Polished up the top triple tree, dogbone and had a buddy (Tucson "Derby Boy" Gizmo) that made me the speedo risers for free...
Well, I traded a valve cover for it, O.K.!
Seth's were cool but I wanted the oval look to match the mounting surface.
Polished fork legs, (Thanks John, ThuxtonUp)
Axle nut covers...
Oh yeah and my stainless steel speedo bucket from our cats water bowl!
(Sorry Harpo!)
Dremels work!
The cat sure is thirsty now!
I didn't want to post picks B4 the front end was done as I have Bela Corse polished aluminum head light ears that I will drill out to mout the NB Lucas turn signals w/ the tail light / signals...
Oh yeah,
Winter mod when I do the steering head bearings w/ tapered bearings, the lower triple tree will be chromed...
As thay say, "A work in progress."
I may have left something out...
I 'll remember tomorrow after work B4 I have too much Guiness!
Pictures may not the best, but you get the idea...
