My free time has been limited due to having a new addition to my family. Ive got a son now. Hes been taking up most of my free time but its not a bad thing. I have found a bit of time to work on my bonnieville. Heres what ive come up with now:

I installed 42 pilots.
I installed a a/f gauge.

I went for a short test ride. Heres my readings. Bike was warmed up.

idle is around 14.1 it jumps around a bit, but stays close to 14.1
crusing/light load around 13.0
WOT around 12.5

From the info ive found. Idle seems ok. shoud be 14.1 - 13.4?
Cruising is a bit rich? sound be closer to 14.1?
WOT is a bit on the rich side - but ok? should be 12.2-13.5?

If im cruising and snap the throttle to go to WOT it will drop into the 11's on the gauge. Would that be the needle taper?

So maybe go down to a 140 jet and try it again?

Any other suggestions or input would be great

stock carbs? try an older 790 needle as the Thruxton needle may be a bit rich
