we have had this question and are unable to answer it. anyone know if the pre alloy wire wheels will fit one an alloy wheel bike? or better said can we swap wire for alloys with out reinventing the world

I would say yes, though opposite way (swap alloys for wire) would be no, due to the size difference. But this is just a guess.

I changed my America wire wheels for the older Speedy alloys with no issues. I don't know if the America alloys are different though...

I put alloys on my 03 America with no problems. Should be no problem going the other way. Just remember to add the tubes to the spoked rims when you do.

what tubes! what good are tubes? all they do is hold air why would we want that!?
