OK, so I noticed recently my tach is jumping when I'm at a steady speed. It's most noticeable in 4th and 5th gears when I’m around 4200 Revs. If I’m accelerating or decelerating it seems to be pretty solid. The needle will bounce about 300 RPM, although I did get to once spot around 80 MPH where she was bouncing closer to 500 RPM.

Doing a search this seems to be a problem that others have had, and just “Live with”….

So does anyone else have this issue, and has anyone actually cured it?

Hedge had that problem a couple years back...don't remember if he fixed it.
I have no other input other than I don't have a tach.

the tach is electronic and takes its input from the ignition circuit
if a plug cap is "bad" , not exactly 5000hms, the tach will "jump" as the spark varies
check both spark plug caps with a meter

i had a problem with the tach sweeping after extended high rpm. after a few 100mph runs the needle would start sweeping 500-1500 rpm. it was fixed under warranty.
