The phone company

Been having problems with my land line for the past couple of weeks, off and on static, so a service guy finally came out today. he was amazed my internet was still working. Turned out the underground cables from 2700 to 4100 feet away were messing up so he did his thing... but another service guy had to come out with the blueprints and finally got my main phone back.

A brand new box on the house that is actually attached to house with the wires inside it ,as opposed to the old one tilted at a 45 degree angle with exposed wires.

Who knew?? The service guy even said my DSL might go faster.

Be sure to reset your DSL modem. When your DSL modem boots and "trains-up" with the DSLAM it figures out the signal to noise ratio and then decides on a final line speed. If the SNR was improved it could certainly improve your performance.
