These damned things are a nuisance and a hazard, especially on some of these hot southern afternoons.

I think Newbonneville.com has spray cans of "Tar Snake Repellent" in stock, one can usually lasts me a year since the snakes go away in the winter.

I was riding in Uwharrie State Park in NC and there are literally thousands of these little bastards along my favorite route. We had to give up since it was so hot out they hot even more slimey and you just slip and slide down the road.

I'm thinking of pulling them all up as courtesy to all riders.
