Recently I've been reading a lot about crashes on this site and others. I wish I could say I'm ATGATT but sadly that's not the case. I never go out without a helmet, jacket, gloves, and boots but I'm often in jeans.

Here's my daily riding gear:

1) Arai Vector Phil Read helmet

2) Triumph Hawk jacket

3) Dainese short gloves

4) Dr. Martens steel toe 10 eye boots

5) Jeans or sometimes BMW City Pants

I'm thinking of upgrading with:

Sidi Vortice boots

And I've got new gloves on the way

I was also thinking about picking up a pair of Icon Automag pants

I'm looking to upgrade to more protection without a full on Power Ranger suit. What do you do?

I wear jeans & some Columbia gloves I can fit in my pockets. I should have better pants & gloves, but I don't.

I've got another set of water proof gloves but don't remember off the top of my head who makes them.

I'll wear my chaps if I think I'm going to be doing any agressive riding, I'm looking at getting some better riding pants, probably not motorcycle specific but I've heard good things about some different "worker" style pants that hold up well.

My Brains. A half helmet. Golf gloves (yes, very comfortable and they give me good feel). Double weave sweat pants (like levis, but they breathe better). A hoodie on occasion. A leather jacket sometimes. A windbreaker other times.

Now I know this isn't the most safety oriented gear, but try to think about how you would try and dress a Sumo wrestler and you will see my problem.

Ox. I'm digging the helm. More info pls.

Keep em' coming.

Mine's a KBC Airborne II Force RR I picked up on the clearance rack of the local motorcycle shop.

They used to come in two flavors but I don't know if the design is still available.

Here's the other version.

Shoei RF100 Helmet.

Held Thrux Gloves

For the track or long spirited rides, I have a pair of GMX motion vented leatehr race pants that match the jacket.

Hmmm...some of my stuff is older now and no pics but heres my get up:

Triumph Integra jacket - time for a new jacket this year. Now If I can only find one to fit me.

Gloves - an array depending on the weather:
Fav pair are a set of Marsee leather perf gloves I found on clearance for $10 a few years ago.
Cold weather are some Olympia gauntlet style and my saving grace....a set of Gerbing G3 heated gloves cause Im a sissy in cold weather.

Sometimes the classic Taylors Leatherwear jacket, along with gloves, full face helmet, boots and jeans. Great jacket I've been wearing for 15+ years:
IMG_2715.jpg

Sometimes the more modern look, with the textile riding trousers & jacket that even zip together:
Guykellerferry2B.jpg

Often I'll just wear the jeans, jacket, boots, helmet & gloves because it's just simpler to go about life without the riding trousers, but if I'm going for a long day, or when there's a good chance of getting wet, I'll wear the full set of the fancy new textile gear.

One thing I could sure use is a heated jacket liner...

Two Stroke
Always a closed face helmet, jacket, boots & gloves. Jeans for short rides. Draggin' liners for the longer rides.

Normally I wear:
HJC FS15 Helmet
Triumph Camden Jacket
Triumph Portland Gloves
Sidi Doha boots

When it's really hot I change jackets, gloves & boots as needed:
BMG Zodiac (lots if venting)
Triumph Raptor Gloves
Sidi Doha boots (they are similar to the ones pictured but have mesh panels to allow more airflow)

The Draggin' liners are great as they offer extra (covert) protection but can be worn under your normal jeans. Kind of a pain to take on & off for the daily commute, so I usually just wear them on longer rides.
