I replaced the K&N cones (RC-1920) with UNI Pods (UP4229AST).
WILL I NEED TO REJET?

(I made the swap primarily to see if the side covers would fit better, i.e. more squarely. Result: I think the angled pods fit better, at least attaching the side covers takes less fiddling to center them.)

gg... I can't imagine that there would be a significant enough difference in flow between the two to require any rejetting... Just my 2 cents worth...

with stock carbs you may or may not have to.with 39s or 42s you would need to.Wish I knew what to tell you.It is all a mater of if your carbs flow more then the K&N filters can feed them.If you do it should be lean at high rpms with the uni filters. If you do need to change it shouldnt be more then 1 size jet with stock carbs. On my 42s it was 2 sizes.

I have Uni's installed, and with my current settings (see sig) I have some popping on decel. I think I'm going to have to increase my idle jet size. I'll try to do a dyno run sometime this year to get a better idea of where I am.

I'm curious to hear what others have experienced.

Wolfie- You didn't mention your airbox: intact? Popping on decel is a lot easier to fix by letting the pilot screws out a bit than by changing the pilot jets.
