Painting the chromey bits black

I just ordered a new green/black Scrambler. Waiting to pick it up
(Been a Bonnie owner since '01)

What's the best paint and method to paint the taillight, headlight rim, idiot light cluster black?

(To roughly match the engine etc)

Going to do some serious mods later but want to take care of this first.

I took my headlight rim, headlight grill and solo seat rack to the local powder coater. He did them all in a textured black that is a great match to the engine. $35.

That will not help you with the tail light, but...

Thanks. Powder coat's probably the way to go for metal.

you may want to consider scuff sanding the chrome off and spraying it with a black texture paint for the plastic's
