NY riders

Does anyone have any clue what is going on with the new plates? I just paid $42 and change and there's no mention of new plates but it says in small type, for new plates. Any idea when we are getting them or if I should wait to put on my 11 sticker on my current plate? NY State is broke as an artichoke but come on, this is ridiculous.

i put my sticker on. didnt see where it was written about getting new plates tho.

Yeah. Same here. Renewed via mail. Put the sticker on. Called it a day. Do we need go to DMV and get a new plate?

On the registration it says "Plate fees" and is actually like $27 so if we are not getting new plates, I want my $27 back. $42 compared to $14 last year is quite a leap. I'm starting to hate the state of NY. Between the MTA, DMV and city taxes you'd think we we're actually getting significant raises to match the crazy increases.
