Whoa, what an experience! 1,035 miles there and back - nearly all on secondary roads through central CT, MA, NH, and ME. A few roads of importance:
Rt. 202 from Belcher to Anthol, CT goes along the Quabbin Resovoir. No cars, no bumps, just forest and sweeping curves.
Rt. 16 from West Ossipee to Gorham, NH. Well, it goes through the White Mountains and is wide and spectacular!
Now, a few things I learned from this trip. New Englanders are friendly folks. Nearly every town has a white church with a tall steeple. Bears do run out of the forest into your "kill or be killed" zone. The destination, in my opinion, never has more value than the ride to it while on a motorcycle; if it did, drive a car.
