local bike night

Hit the local/weekly bike night on the CB ... even though the threat of rain was coming.
Left early and it started raining 5 minutes after I pulled in the garage.
Hosted by the new local Triumph dealer (they sell a bunch of brands).
Last week there was close to 100 bikes ... this week, about 30.

This was a new (dealership) bike ... with a price tag; $8,000+ - WTF!?!?!

Another one of those backwards trikes. Can Am sells one that is suppose to lean with you when moving, but to me a trike is still a trike. Wouldn't mind taking one for a spin though.

I followed one going up the ONE to Ragged Point one day. Didn't like the way it seemed to handle at all, looked weird.....not enuff lean over for me. Plus the gent drivin was older than me and that is old.

There's a 'group ride' that leaves Freedom Powersports (new Triumph dealer) at like 6pm - but they have no official permit or police escort for blowing intersections/etc as I've heard they keep doing as the size of their group grows.

We just head straight to the final location which is 2500 Cobb Pwy, Kennesaw, Ga 30152 - in front of Olde Towne Tavern. Most people start showing up at 6:45 to 7pm. Officially - it says it starts at 7:30 ... if you get there that late, you'll be looking for a parking spot.

Be sure to ask one of the Freedom guys for your coupon for 10 free wings from Olde Towne - given to everyone who shows up on two wheels.

Have to say it... that blue T100 still looks the best of the bunch to me. Yes, even over the Duc and them choppers! :headbang2:

I'll be there tomorrow if the weather holds up. Looks like a good selection of bikes. Went to Hooters in Canton this past week and it was almost completely Harleys.

The weather cooperated and I made it out to bike night. My neighbor came along on his M50. Got to see Bud for the first time in months, and his sweet CB750 in person. I took a few pics of the bikes that caught my eye, I'll have to post them when I get a chance.

Nick - give a hollar so we can go ride the loop on a Sunday. I'll probably be at this bike night til the weather wears out or they run out of free wings .... plus it's too close to the house to skip and I always have Tuesdays nights off.

Glad ya'll made it home and avoided any rain clouds. The lightning show towards the south didnt look good.

This Sunday works for me as long as the weather is good. Just met a girl that rides a Bonnie, may meet up with her at some point for a ride...I'll see if she's interested.
