Well done! I'm interested in the alcantara seat you have. I've looked for an alcantara version with the cowl mounting holes but could not find one anywhere. Did you buy the alcantara material separately then had your old seat reupholstered? Can you take a couple more pictures and send them to me?

No found it on eBay UK the guy worked at the Hinckley factory for triumph and said the seat is rare as its a sixty8 seat and only 100 were produced with the cowl. If you look on eBay worldwide you can order a cover from volcano industries they r based in Italy in alcantara which works with the cowl and goes over the original Thrux seat , sites in Italian I'm a Aussie so translated the page but the contact on eBay speaks English look for triumph Thruxton seat cover worldwide or the below site hope this helps cheers Ben

Will take some more pics getting my tank replaced tomorrow as a paint defect is present under the clear coat manufacture fault, it's getting sent back to Hinckley to identify how it happened and further prevention

Any chance you still have his contact info? Been searching for this seat forever. Been thinking about just getting a new cover put on but would like to have both a normal seat and an alcantra seat. Any chance you would be willing to part with yours?

Wise man they r not waterproof so it's only for nice days been looking into covers etc for winter riding no go with the cowl unfortunately.
Thanks for the kind offer but I love the seat and don't want to sell it but I will be listing a gel seat possibly for sale very shortly with a swag of parts in the classifieds, a quick 1 for you where has everybody gone from this forum it seems very quiet to when I was on here in 09/10

Here it is on flea bay

The seat is on hold as of right now. Probably going to buy a used second hand seat then have it rewrapped in alcantra material. As for my exhuast I'm running the T.E.C. 2-1 system. Got a great deal on it. Looking into swapping it out for a D&D tt exhaust or maybe an arrow 2-1 scrambler exhaust. Liking a higher mounted exhaust or an exhaust system that sits under the frame more. Might also reuse my old stock header pipes and chop and cut it and use some smaller reverse cone mufflers and build my own tt exhaust. Another option was to replace the muffler on my 2-1 exhaust with a dual stacked option.

Here is my bike with the TEC 2-1 on it right now.
