Hello from Oakland

Hey all,

Finally back on a bonnie again after a 5 year break. :D
I discovered this forum via D9 Seth who pointed me to some super helpful info related to mods Im doing.
Tons of valuable info here.

Here's my bike, a carb'd 07, being ridden by my mean-ass cat:

Welcome to NBR and to riding a Bonnie again! Hope we can be as helpful as needed. I recognize some of your mods already... DCC bar end mirrors, bullet style marker lights, retro tailight and fender, new seat... looking good! I've got an 08 Bonnie. I think the 07 and 08 were the best years!

Cheers! Yes, that's a Bates style tail light. You cant see it but there is a Motogadget M-Stop wired in there ;)
The Fender was done by the previous owner and is pretty clever.
He got hold of a black front fender, cut the front off and screwed the cut off portion on at the back. That rear fender actually only extends a few inches under the seat

I've owned a 2012 Thruxton EFI and a 2008 Bonneville (carbs) and they both have advantages and disadvantages. All in all I prefer the carbs because I can do more manual adjustments without needing a computer. I've ended up with twin Mikuni HSR45 flat-slide carbs which are quite easy to adjust.
