I picked up a nice tank on ebay to custom paint,all of the insulation was ripped out for some reason.They sell a kit at bike bandit, do I really need it?:huh:
you do not need the insulation, however you live in so cal and can do a lot of riding in very hot climates. it will keep your gas a little cooler, if you do want to spend a couple of bucks it will perform as requested.
