any thoughts on reastaurants or the best Tri dealer to get a cool South African Triumph dealer t-shirt? ( I am a bit of a whore for t-shirts)....

Don't forget Dysentary, that with a dose of Malaria will make you feel real good for a long time. The permanent side effects are also wonderful.
 
It's a great country to visit. If possible, get to Cape Town, the Cape of Good Hope, and the winelands nearby, you won't regret it. No worries about food, and no worries about malaria unless you go to the far north of the country, i.e. Kruger Park.

Be aware that the crime rates are high, and you have to be careful where you go, and when. Like visiting American cities, but worse. Don't use public transit unless you know what you're doing or are with someone who does. Private shuttles and driver services are widely available.
