I keep my fenders stock to keep from flinging mud all over myself. I never gave much consideration to bird intestines, but imagine where those would have gone had the fender been chopped! :eeek:

The good thing is road runners rarely fly up (hence road "runner"). The bird that scares the hell out of me is Vultures. There always picking road kill here in AZ. Had one take off one day right in front of me while doing 60. Just missed it, I swear I could have grabbed tail feathers with my left hand. Damn those things are big when 2 ft. from your head.
