Dirt in the North Cascades

Everybody enjoys going over Washington Pass on Highway 20, through the North Cascades - and it's an outstanding ride. But... it's paved... Today the Scram and I explored some other roads, off Highway 20, not far from Mazama:

It was a mighty fine afternoon, about 290 miles, 50 or so on dirt!

What's that white stuff on the mountain slopes?
Great pics. Thanks for sharing. I love to see a Scram with good honest dirt on it.
