As you know he wasn't able to make the El Diablo Run due to his injury. Sad yes. However the silver lining was when he asked me to do a write up for his blog! Totally stoked with how it came out.

I always wanted to do that ride, but I wondered about the security situation, and hassles.

Looks great.

Every one was 100% nicer than Americans. Baja is very chill sans border towns. San Felipe was a paradise, the military checkpoints are all young kids being forced to serve their mandatory time. They were all smiles and waved the bikes through without a hassle.

Their was never a single time I felt threatened or in danger.

I've also heard the banditos have no interest in garage-built bikes. It's the fancy chromed-out baggers and such that have to be careful.
