I am SO Bloody Proud to be an Aussie Biker!!
My post on the 2009 Newcastle Toy Run appears to be buried in the Shows & Rallys section so I'm making the abovementioned declaration in the Lounge because I am very proud to be a Biker in this country and I've gotta shout it out..
Forget allegiances to Triumph, Honda, Harley D, Yamaha or any other breed of motorcycle...this was an outstanding success for bikers all over the world.
This year, a record 6000 to 7000 bikers turned out with $52,000 cash and over $25,000 worth of toys donated to the Salvos for distribution to needy families....another record.
This was the 32nd annual Toy Run to be held in this city (with a total population of only 250,000) and it just keeps getting bigger.
Fantastic atmosphere, with lots of generosity, love and good will!
