I really wouldn't suggest tightening/loosening spokes unless you really know what you're doing- I say this only having worked on truing and lacing bicycle wheels. You're probably more likely to mess it up more not doing it the correct way.
Places like Harbor Freight sell truing stands, I'd suggest buying one and learning how to do it. I can't imagine it's too hard.
Or take it to a "customs" shop, they probably know better than our own Triumph dealers, based on my experiences.
