I don't know if you're aware of it, but the lads over on the New Triumph Bonneville Forum (NTBF) hold two rallies in the mountains of western NC each year; one in Maggie Valley in the spring, and one in Linville Falls the 3rd weekend in September. There's a couple fellas from the Detroit area that come each year
If you'll leave your overly sensitive side at home in MI, you're more than welcome to come play... and I promise you won't regret it.
There's also Brits in the Blue Ridge, which is a great rally held each June in the mountains of north Georgia.
