That is an old movie trick where they put a large movie screen with a moving background behind the actor and then shoot the scene. The speedo cable was chucked in a drill to get it to work. Looks much to smooth for even half that speed.

Rocker.....I grew up in Montreal PQ.....spent some time in Eastern Townships, Ontario and Vancouver.......We used to drive non stop from McGill Universtity to Whistler BC.....I still have nightmares about the "middle part" I'd shoot myself if I lived there.
