Anybody do any good ole american trash picking??

I'm no crunchy granola type- not even close, but you really have to stop and think about how much stuff is just tossed out and filling up the landfills....especially all of the plastics.

We were dirt poor growing up :T and Mom used to take me trash picking for furniture, etc. That scarred me for life...lol.

Im frugal as a result but just cannot bring myself to throw stuff in the back of my truck. Its like a get a nervous twitch thinking about it. My wife however has zero issue with pickin.

Uh, no. Yard sales, second-hand, flea markets, yes. Trash picking, no.

I m,ight do flea markets. However, I have been in houeskeeping business for 35 years (hospitals). I know what is in trash. I stay clear.

I guess I should have been more specific...I don't mean opening cans and going through them...that's disgusting! Example..."hey there's a good bike with a flat next to the curb....I should pick it up and toss it in my truck"...get it?
