A naked triumph between the thruxton and speed triple

I was with a few other riders the other day and we got on the topic of naked bikes. I have a thruxton, one had a speed triple. A few other guys liked both bikes but wanted something bigger and faster then the thruxton but did not need the balls to the wall power of the 130HP S3.

Made me wonder if anyone else would like a similar styled bike between these 2 thats still comfortable and about 900-1000cc.

The only thing we came up w/ was the ducati gt1000. Curious if triumph might make something to fill this niche. The street triple really isnt what we were thinking.

Feel free to offer your .02. Bear in mind, the age of these riders is late 50's-early 60's

Just to add to the above, the TBird sport and the duke gt1000 would fit the bill. Also, an Aprilia Shiver is only a 750 but it makes almost 100HP and has very good components from what Ive read. Looks like an upright seating position for the pre-seniors which should make it a decent ride.

Look into the BMW R800s, similar style, 85HP, clip ons and a belt drive
