Today my beloved "Scooter poot" sits in the garage with her cylinder head on the bench....I did 100 miles on her saturday night, and the back of the cylinder was soaked in oil....So off comes the cylinder head AGAIN...this has been the 4th time I've had to pull it for this problem, albeit different areas of both PRT's....The last fix lasted about 2000 miles or so. Randy at British cycles gave me yet ANOTHER class in installing the cylinder head with the proper "gap", equal to the thickness of the copper head gasket. I have $40 worth of new gaskets and seals, and look forward to putting her back together in the morning, and preparing her for a 600 or so mile ride to the annual Three State Mountain Ride taking place in Blowing Rock, NC....This will be our longest (by far) adventure, but I have alot of confidence in her....anyone interested in joining me, Im leaving Thursday morning, coming back Sunday....see GABMA's website for details....
