I really liked the Ace Bars & NH rear-sets ridding position, but decided to try something different.
The 09 Thruxton bars are 1-inch and cost $90. No issues with swapping except that the OEM Bonnie bar end caps & bolts do not fit on the Thruxton bars unless they are modified.
The end caps inner portion needs to be ground down and the hole drilled to accept a 6-mm bolt. The photos show how I did it, and the fix was very easy to do.
Also a few photos of the Ace Bars compared to the Thruxton and a 675 Sport bike to show the comparison in bends.
So far…..I like the fact that I sit-up a bit more and the additional leverage of the Thruxton bars makes the bike easier to move around in the garage!
