Michelin Anakee 2s are very good tyres. I've done some 13000 kms on the back tyre and 20000 kms on the front.

Now I've made an experiment with RE85. I filled my Scrambler's tank to the half - and had a 70 kms ride both on tarmac and gravel. The motor ran smoothly without any extra noise. The torque was excellent on climbing to a hill. I just needed to adjust the choke switch to different positions...

E85 fuel (85% ethanol) is much cheaper than gasoline. Some consider that it also increases torque on low rpms and power on high rpms. Because ethanol contains less energy than gasoline the consumption may increase a little. What do you think, is the new E85 suitable for carburetor Scrambler...

They protect the engine against snow. I'll take them off when spring comes.

Some people consider the Scrambler too heavy for winter riding. It's not too heavy. You can manage on snowy forest roads if you have skills and temper. Today I rode some 40 km on snowmobile tracks and forest roads.

I finished this oil painting last week. It's made by palette knife on canvas panel, size 30 x 40 cm. It represents adventure riders on long way in Mongolia.

Because it is difficult to find commercial rack systems, I made one myself.

I made dresser bars myself.

Thanks, Aussie T100, for this valuable information. Now I know the size of all bearings. What do you think, is it possible to find much better bearings with these measures, better protected from water, mud and dust?

Does anyone here know the measures or size codes for front and rear wheel bearings? It seems to be top secret information.

We can ride here in Finland from April to October. This photo above is from North Sweden, from my little 2300 km trip which I took in the change of June and July with my cousin.

I have made my own modifications conserning the boxes as well as the rack - used to metal works. My cousin purchased the Metal Mule rack and three boxes - at a very high price form U.K. They are, of course, good work and certainly long-lasting. But my self made equipement did it as...

I have Anakees on my Scrambler. I' ve riden over 10 000 kms on these tires. The front tire is still like new one, the rear tire has worn, of course, but I think it has still some 3000 - 4000 kms left.

Here are some photos from my self made boxes after abridging the left box.

Indeed the left side box has been too broad. I´ve already taken off 5 cm with and angle grinder. Now the outer borders of both boxes are at the same distance from the bike's midline, 50 cm both.

Now the attachment racks are ready apart one more paint layer. As you can see from this photo, the beginning of a new riding season still waits to come.
