Did you staple your new cover back on? I attempted something similar in the past but couldn't find short enough staples. I.e. the shortest staples I could find for my staple gun are longer than what the factory used and so will poke through to the outside of the pan.

Did you use the stock seat pan?

How about you paint the side covers with chalkboard paint? It's kinda flat-black and then you can change the witty statement each day to fit your mood.

I like the idea of putting some "attitude" slogan on the side covers rather than a number. And I also like the look of polishing your forks and adding gators. After you're done, you can do mine. I'm too chicken/lazy to try it.
