Alright, Gretsch. These are just for you. I had follow-up this week and remembered to ask for shots of my leg. Turns out they used four screws instead of three. The fibula's still floating around in pieces but that's on purpose. They don't set them anymore because of the stress on the patient. It's been found that if they just leave it then it will build up calcium deposits on its own and grow back together. I graduated from the walker to a cane which has been HUGE!!! The big news is I can drive now but I won't be riding until June.
Last weekend Pepper and I went over and saw the bike. Again, minimal damage at all. I contemplated gathering parts to begin repairs but decided it was in my own best interest not to. If the bike's ready before me I'd tempted to do something stupid.
